Koi, Common Carp

Koi, specifically nishikigoi, are ornamental domesticated varieties of the common carp.
The German breedｓ German Carp. I am a bit surprised at it. Because I have looked Koi as the fish lives in Asia only.

I took these pictures at the pond of Kushida Shrine.

By the way, many Japanese don't know about this fact. Hiroshima Toyo Carp, famous pro baseball team in Japan was named from Hiroshima Castle. Because it was called Rijou, means Koi castle.
